Faith : an essential aspect

Devotion and Salvation

GOD Krishna declares that any action performed without faith and devotion would be futile and worthless then what to say about sacrifice, penance and charity. If sacrifice, penance or charity are performed without the offerings of devotion then the entire karma performed would be of no value as well as be inauspicious and it is called ASAT means which is devoid of truth. Such actions would neither be beneficial for this life or for the next one.

Actions performed carrying a mountain of arrogance of power, wealth and desires for honour do not fall under SAT as they are nugatory and of no real significance as far as spiritual merit is concerned.

Faith is a major feature for any matter to prosper. Keeping faith upon relationships; keeping faith in one’s ability; keeping faith and devotion upon GOD. If a person competes in a competition without keeping faith in his ability holding the hand of pessimism then defeat would be inevitable. On the contrary, if the competition is fought with sheer aplomb and faith in one’s ability and devotion towards GOD then success would embrace the person.

Hence, GOD Krishna counsels Arjuna and as I said through Arjuna counseled the human kind to store inexhaustible faith and devotion in whatever you do without thinking about the fruits of actions. By keeping the character of actions in this manner, one would receive God’s blessings and his own state of mind would be completely serene.
With faith and devotion towards GOD combined with unblemished Karma , the person makes himself/herself deserving to attain the abode of Lord Krishna.
