Impact of the laws of nature

Devotion and Salvation Traditional Philosophies, Principle and PracticesUniversal Values and Morality

Lord Krishna delivered the divine discourse that when a person attains the knowledge of three laws of nature (modes of nature) he/she then comprehends that these three modes of nature are the real doer and the body is just a reactor to the three modes. When a person acquires the cognition that Almighty domineers the three modes of nature and the three laws of nature are subservient to the Almighty then the person surely attains GOD’s spiritual nature.

A human being needs to obtain the knowledge of the conduct of the three laws of nature (modes of nature) and its impact on the overall character of a person. If the person is able to surpass the three modes of nature that is almost engrained in the material body then that person will be able to get free from the clutches of birth and death, old age troubles and would be able to savour the nectar in the present life.

Arjuna enquires with bewilderment about the way to transcend the three laws of nature. He asks Lord Krishna about the distinguishing features with which a person can be said to have transcended the three modes of nature i.e satva guna, rajo guna and tamoguna.

Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna about the way one can surpass the three laws of nature. Lord Krishna also enunciated about the characteristics of a person who is known to have transcended the modes of nature.

GOD expounds that a person is considered to have transcended the modes of nature would have the characteristics when :

• One does not detest the presence of light, attachment or delusion or yearn for these when they vanish from the perceiving sight;

• One who is steadfast and unraveled to material reactions and remains neutral. The person is spiritually enlightened understanding that the body is not performing rather the three mode of nature are active.

• One who remains aloof and in self and treats happiness and sorrow alike thereby staying in the state of equanimity.

• One who does not get affected by the opulence of gold or diamond and treat all these along with earth, stone with sameness.

• One for who fame and infamy, appreciation and derogation, honour and ignominy remain alike.

• One who treat friends and foes in similitude and has renounced all material activities.
