Two important facets of a true personality

Life Philosophy Attitude and Personality

Simplicity is one characteristic in a person that is endeared by one and all. Even Lord Krishna is simplicity personified. Lord Krishna was not recluctnt to go to Hastinapur as a messenger of Pandavas. He never went there as an ambassador. When Pandavas were weathering the period of exile, HE went to their hut and ate half cooked grain. At Dwarka, Lord Krishna washed the feet of his childhood beloved friend Sudama.

Being simple is being cultured; being cultured means being spiritually well versed. Spiritually versed means possessing qualities of divinity. A Knowledgeable simple person would never possess vanity even if he/she has the power of affluence. The father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi led a simple life and was simple in his eloquence too while dealing with despots of British rule. All eminent personalities from various walks of life have been simple. Simplicity garners power and acceptance of ones’ ideologies whereas arrogance creates acrimony and isolates a person.

The second facet is truthfulness. Truth-fullness or integrity is an aspect that decorates a personality. The life span of lie is very small whereas the life of truth is large. A truthful person will not be timid. Even in a troubled circumstance, if a person does not compromise on truth, he/she would get extricated from the daunting situation without scathe. Whereas, if one takes the support of lie and deception in order to escape from an unpleasant situation then he/she will have to carry the burden of that one lie for a long period. Further, the repercussions of the lie would turn out to be excruciatingly adverse. An untruthful person would be diffident, coward, unreliable and deceitful in nature. Mendacity is a characteristic that is adopted by a weak, pusillanimous and fearful person and such a person would eventually invite disgrace from all corners.
